Chambers of Xeric Guide

Bosses guide · Updated September 2025

Chambers of Xeric is the server's flagship raid: a procedurally assembled dungeon of puzzle and combat rooms that ends at the Great Olm, the three-headed boss at the bottom. The teleport lands at 1233, 3568 outside Mount Quidamortem - form a party on the board and climb in.

Everything inside is shared-world instanced: your party gets its own dungeon layout each run, points accumulate per room cleared, and the rewards at the end scale against what your team earned.

The party and points system

CoX is built around a party board - one player creates the raid, others join, and the leader starts the climb. Personal points accumulate for every room you help clear; the raid's total party points decide the unique-roll budget at the end.

Personal points matter twice: they count toward your share of the loot and they show on the raid HUD - the interface updates live as points are banked.

Room types

Combat rooms are the point generators: Tekton, Vasa Nistirio, the Vanguard trio, Muttadiles, Vespula, and the Skeletal Mystics each carry their own mechanics. Puzzle rooms - the ice demon, tightrope, crabs, guardians - cost time instead of damage but pay the same points.

The resource rooms let you gather inside the raid: fish from the pool, farm herbs from the gourd, chop kindling, and brew the potions you will need for Olm.

The Great Olm

Olm is the finale: a three-headed serpent whose phases cycle through attack styles. Watch the head - left head melee, middle magic, right ranged - and pray accordingly. The acid pools and crystal bursts punish standing still; the melee hand needs to be burned down during the crystal phases to progress.

It is a marathon fight: solo runs take fifteen-plus minutes, party runs split the attention. Learn the head cycle before you bring a team.

Rewards

Up to three uniques roll per raid against the party-points budget - dexterous and arcane prayer scrolls at the common end, twisted buckler and dragon hunter crossbow in the middle, and the twisted bow, elder maul, kodai insignia, and ancestral set at the top. Torn prayer scrolls and dark relics land as the rare regular drops.

Every regular roll scales with personal points: runes, herbs, ores, gems, planks, and pure essence all pay out proportional to what you contributed.

Points and loot scaling

The raid scores points per room cleared - more points, more rolls on the unique table. Team size scales the dungeon: smaller parties get fewer points per clear, so solo CoX is the longest grind and the highest per-player payout when it hits.

The drop table below is this server's actual reward file - the twisted bow, elder maul, kodai insignia, dragon hunter crossbow, dinh's bulwark, ancestral set, dragon claws, and both prayer scrolls all roll here. Every tradeable links to its GE page.
