About Onyx bolt tips

Onyx bolt tips are small onyx gems attached to the tips of runite bolts, creating Onyx bolts. These are the highest-level gemstone bolt tips and require level 73 Fletching to attach. When enchanted, Onyx bolts (e) can trigger the Life Leech effect, healing the player for a percentage of damage dealt. Because of this powerful effect, Onyx bolt tips are a valuable Fletching and Ranged material used by high-level players in bossing and PvM. High-level rangers use Onyx bolts (e) at bosses because the healing effect can reduce food consumption. Bolt tips are also used to craft Onyx dragon bolts, which have their own powerful enchanted effects.
