Abyssal Sire Guide
Bosses guide · Updated September 2025
The Abyssal Sire lives at the bottom of the Abyss - the end of the runecrafting shortcut turned into a boss fight. The teleport lands at 3038, 4771 inside the boss room, so you skip the obstacle gauntlet entirely and go straight to the fight.
It is a three-phase war of attrition: stun the sire, burn its vents and tendrils, then finish it before the phases reset.
Phase one - stun and stab
Open with a stun spell or shadow spell to wake the sire's vulnerability - it sits in the middle of the room and only takes real damage while stunned or forced through its phases. The tendrils around the room are the first target: killing them starts the stun window.
Spawns burst from the eggs on the floor - kill the spawn hatchlings quickly or they explode for free damage.
Phase two - the vents
Once the sire stands, the four respiratory vents activate - destroy them while dodging the sire's attacks to open the real damage phase. Each vent kill counts toward finishing the phase; the sire tries to retreat when the vents fall.
Phase three - finish it
The final phase is a brawl: the sire attacks at melee range with everything left. Burn it down before the minion spawns overwhelm the room - prayer protection on and clean kills end here.
The drops
Abyssal daggers, abyssal whips in noted stacks, the abyssal orphan pet, and the bludgeon pieces (spine, axon, claw) that assemble into the abyssal bludgeon - the best melee strength weapon on offer. Every tradeable drop is GE-linked below.
The abyssal mechanics
The sire sits in an abyssal dimension - you enter via the Nexus at 3038, 4771 and the fight unfolds on a shifting floor of portals and tentacles. It is one of the more mechanically rich bosses on the server: respiratory systems to vent, tentacles to dodge, and phases that change the arena.
The first phase destroys the room's respiratory vents to wake the sire; the second is a ground-floor fight with tentacle adds; the third is the sire standing up for a straight damage race.
The unsired drops
The sire drops abyssal-whisper uniques: the abyssal bludgeon pieces (dagger, spine, claw) that combine into the two-handed bludgeon, the abyssal orphan pet, and the jar of miasma. The bludgeon pieces are the real chase - a full bludgeon is one of the strongest strength-training weapons in the game.
- Kill the respiratory systems first - they gate the fight.
- Shadow spells and ranged work for the tentacle phase.
- The orphan pet rolls on the same kill as everything else.
The bludgeon chase
The bludgeon pieces - dagger, spine, claw - combine into the two-handed bludgeon, the strength-training weapon that hits like a warhammer at whip speed. It is the reason people farm Sire long after the XP stops mattering.
Each piece is a separate roll, so expect the parts to arrive unevenly: a spine at kill 20, the dagger at kill 90, the claw never.
