Venenatis Guide

Venenatis is the giant spider at 3346, 3727 - a ranged-style wildy boss that webs you in place while spiderlings spawn to chip at your health. She is the treasonous-ring farm and one of the more annoying wildy fights because of the crowd she builds.

Pray ranged, kill the spiderlings, and do not let the webs pin you into a bad tile.

The fight

She attacks with ranged - pray missiles for most of the fight. The web mechanic slows or roots you in place; spiderlings hatch from the eggs around the room and need clearing between phases or they stack to a dozen attackers.

The territory is multi - a wildy PKer or a teammate piling in changes the fight entirely.

The drops

Treasonous ring (the stab ring) is the signature - plus the Venenatis spiderling pet, dragon pickaxe, dragon 2h, and the wilderness-table rolls. Every tradeable drop links below.

• She sits in deep wildy - pack light, loot bag ready.
• Clear spiderlings between phases or the fight snowballs.
• The web slow is what kills people - move before you need to.

Managing the spiderlings

Spiderlings spawn on a timer while the fight runs - ignore them and a dozen small spiders join the damage count. The efficient play is a fast weapon swap between Venenatis hits to clear the hatchlings, then back to the boss.

The web mechanic is her second pressure: it pins you in place just long enough for the spiderlings to connect. Break the web, step to a clear tile, and keep the fight moving.

• Multi territory - a teammate doubles kill speed.

The treasonous ring

The treasonous ring is the stab bonus ring - the niche pick for players running rapier or hasta setups against stab-weak bosses. It pairs with the tyrannical (Callisto) and ring of the gods (Vet'ion) drops to complete the wildy ring trio.

Collecting all three wildy rings is a mid-game milestone: each boss guards a different corner of the deep wilderness, so finishing the set means surviving the whole map.

The multi-combat angle

Because her territory is multi-combat, a duo or trio kills Venenatis dramatically faster than solo - and the spiderling pressure splits between the team instead of stacking on one player. It is the wildy boss that most rewards bringing a friend.

The same multi flag is the danger though: a PKer squad can hit you all at once, so keep the escape teleport on a reachable keybind at all times.

Session summary

Clear the spiderlings, dodge the webs, and let the treasonous ring roll when it rolls - Venenatis is the crowd-management fight of the wildy trio and the one that most rewards a teammate.

The spiderling pet

Venenatis spiderling is her pet drop - the mini version of the boss herself, and a decent roll alongside the treasonous ring chase. Like the other wildy pets it is a status piece: everyone at the GE knows where it came from.
