Brutal Lava Dragon Guide

The Brutal Lava Dragon is the server's custom lava dragon at 3202, 3859 near the lava maze - a bigger, tankier version of the standard lava dragon with a table built for dragonhide and rune farming.
It drops lava runes in quantity, black dragonhide, dragon bones, and the standard dragon-drop rolls - a consistent wilderness farm.
The fight
Dragonfire bolts plus melee in range - the standard anti-dragonfire loadout (shield or antifires) covers the breath, protect-from-melee covers the rest. It is a straightforward dragon fight scaled up.
The drops
Lava runes by the stack, dragon bones and hides, rune items, bolt tips, and the wilderness table - all resolved below with GE links on tradeables.
Where it fits in your farming route
Black dragonhide and lava runes are the volume drops - dhide is always in demand for crafters sewing bodies, and lava runes are combination-rune material for runecrafters at the elemental altars. The standard dragon bones add a prayer-training byproduct on top.
Run it alongside the other wildy dragons on a circuit: kill the brutal lava dragon, check the nearby lava dragon isle for a second dragon, and bank at mage bank between spawns. The route is the efficient way to convert wildy time into consistent drops.
Surviving the deep wildy spot
- Anti-dragonfire shield or antifires - the breath is the whole fight.
- A looting bag for the hides and runes between banking trips.
- Watch for the maze PKers; the lava maze funnels people past the spot.
- Ranged or melee both work - ranged lets you finish before the adds matter.
Why bother at all
It is not a glamorous kill - it is a farming machine. Lava runes sell to runecrafters, dhide sells to crafters, and dragon bones always have a buyer on the GE. A steady lava-dragon loop is how a lot of players fund their first real gear set.
It is also a low-skill wilderness check: if you can farm it consistently without dying to PKers, you have the fundamentals for every other wildy boss on the list.
Pairing it with the maze
The lava maze nearby is the other half of the trip: the maze itself spawns elite clue scrolls and high-tier loot on the ground, so a lava-dragon run that loops through the maze picks up free rolls on the way.
Bring a knife or slash weapon for the maze webs if you plan the full loop - the shortcut through saves the walk around.
Session summary
Farm it for the runes and hides, sell everything on the GE, and treat it as the cash engine for your next gear purchase. It is boring, reliable, and always profitable - exactly what a wilderness farm should be.
The hide and bone stack
Black dragonhide is the volume winner here - each kill drops multiple hides, and a stack of fifty sells reliably to crafters. The dragon bones are the second steady earner, and the lava runes fill out a three-stream table that never dries up.
