Corporeal Beast Guide
Bosses guide · Updated September 2025
Corporeal Beast is the tank-check boss - a massive red beast in a cave on the third floor who eats melee damage for breakfast thanks to enormous defence stats. The teleport lands at 2966, 4382, 2 right at the cave mouth.
Kills are slow and methodical by design: drain the defence, out-DPS the regen, and the spirit shield sigils are the prize.
The fight loop
Corp fights in melee range with heavy hits - protect-from-melee and good food are mandatory. The damage it takes from your attacks is resisted unless you drain its stats, so the standard opener is a dragon warhammer spec (or bandos godsword) repeated until the defence is low enough for real weapons to bite.
The dark core minion spawns periodically - a small orb that leeches health toward Corp. Move away from it or kill it quickly; ignoring it lets Corp heal.
Solo or team
Solo corp is a patience fight: bring a cannon for the core if you have one, expect 10+ minute kills, and eat the chip damage. Teams split the attention but the core heals whoever it reaches, so spread out.
The drops
The spirit shield sigils are the prize - spectral, arcane, elysian, and divine - plus the holy elixir to attach them. Everything else is volume: rune items, onyx bolts, regen bracelet, nature runes by the thousand.
The stat-drain opener
Corp is famously resistant to non-spear damage - the fight starts with a dragon warhammer or bandos godsword spec to drain his defence, and only then do your real weapons start hitting properly. Skipping the drain makes the fight three times as long.
The dark energy core spawns mid-fight and leeches health from players to heal him - kill it the moment it appears or it cancels your damage output entirely.
The spirit shield drops
The sigil is the drop - arcane, elysian, spectral, divine - each attaching to a spirit shield for one of the four legendary shields. On this server they roll on his standard table; the GE prices for the sigils tell you which one the market actually wants.
- A dragon warhammer or BGS spec to open.
- Spear-class weapons hit through his resistances.
- Kill the dark energy core instantly.
The long fight
Corp has a deep health pool and the stat-drain opener means the first minute is setup, not damage. Budget food and time accordingly - a solo kill with a drained defence runs five to eight minutes, during which the dark core cycles through three or four spawns.
Teams split the drain work: one player specs while others DPS, which collapses the kill to a couple of minutes. The loot splits by damage dealt, so contribution matters.
The dark energy core
The dark energy core is the fight-loser if ignored: it spawns under players, leeches their hitpoints, and channels them back to Corp as healing. Killing it immediately is the difference between a 5-minute kill and a 15-minute stalemate.
It has no defence - one hit kills it. The cost is attention, and the reward is a boss that actually dies.
