Scorpia Guide

Bosses guide · Updated September 2025

Scorpia is the cave scorpion at 3233, 3938 - a melee boss that summons scorpling adds and drops the third pieces of the malediction and odium shard sets. She is the shard-completion boss for anyone who already has the first two pieces from Chaos Fanatic and Crazy Archaeologist.

Deep wildy, deep cave - expect company, expect interruption, and bring a looting bag for the shards.

The fight

Scorpia melees in close range - protect-from-melee keeps her manageable. The scorplings she summons are the real annoyance: small adds that stack up if ignored.

Her stat-drain chip is noticeable over a long kill - a restore potion keeps your defence honest.

The shard hunt

Odium shard 3 and malediction shard 3 are the signatures - the missing thirds of the shield and ward you assemble from the wilderness mini-bosses. If you have the other two pieces, she is the only name on the list.

The drops

Beyond the shards, the table is wildy-standard: dragon scimitar, rune items, phoenix necklaces, clues, and the Scorpia's offspring pet - all resolved below with GE links on tradeables.

Gear and escape plan

  • Verac's or another prayer-piercing set - she has heavy defence.
  • Protect-from-melee base; the scorplings are the chip damage.
  • A looting bag for the shards - the most valuable drops on the table.
  • One-click teleport ready; the cave is a PKer hotspot.

Completing the shard sets

Once shard 3 drops, combine it with the first two (Chaos Fanatic and Crazy Archaeologist) to assemble the finished ward or shield - the actual item you wanted all along. The odium ward is the ranged-shield defensive piece and the malediction ward its magic counterpart; both are niche but real defensive gear.

If you are doing the full shard loop, farm Scorpia last - she is the deepest and most dangerous of the three.

The offspring and the clues

Beyond the shards, Scorpia drops her offspring pet - one of the cuter boss pets - and regular clue scroll rolls. The dragon scimitar and rune items fill out a decent mid-tier table for a boss that dies in under a minute.

She is the capstone of the shard loop: by the time you are farming her you have usually already finished shards one and two, so every kill is either the last piece or pure profit.

The cave mechanics

Her cave is a single tunnel - one way in, one way out - which makes escape routing simple but also makes you easy to trap if a PKer catches you mid-fight. The scorplings are the real fight filler: ignore them and a dozen small scorpions add up to serious chip damage.

Her offence is melee plus a defence-draining hit - a super restore sip between kills keeps the drain from stacking over a session.

Session summary

The last shard, the deep cave, and the offspring pet - Scorpia caps the wilderness shard trio and asks the most of your escape discipline along the way.
