About Obsidian platebody
An Obsidian platebody is a heavy torso armour piece in the Obsidian armour set, offering strong melee defence and a melee strength bonus. It requires 60 Defence to wear and is bought from TzHaar City shops. The platebody is commonly used alongside the Obsidian platelegs and helmet for the full set effect, which increases melee damage within TzHaar areas. Because it is affordable and effective, the Obsidian platebody is a staple for mid-to-high-level melee training. The full Obsidian armour set is especially effective in TzHaar areas, where its damage buffs combine with the berserker necklace for massive hits. Players training melee in the TzHaar Fight Cave often wear Obsidian platebody for its strength bonus and solid defence.
