About Chain
A chain is a solid length of links smithed from a single steel bar at an anvil, requiring level 34 Smithing and awarding 37.5 experience. Its main sailing use is linking two cannonballs together into chainshot, which halves an enemy vessel's movement speed on impact. Chains also feature in the Ivandis flail, connecting the enchanted emerald sickle to the rod of Ivandis, and can be freely collected one at a time from the old Myreque hideout crate during A Taste of Hope.
