The ancient medallion is a mysterious artefact dropped by revenants in the Revenant Caves, highly prized by emblem traders. While on an official Bounty Hunter world it can be exchanged with the Emblem Trader found wandering the caves for 4,000,000 coins; he refuses to trade in Edgeville. Alternatively, breaking it with a chisel yields 8,000 revenant ether. Like all ancient artefacts, the medallion is always lost on death, even unaccompanied.
