The adamant axe is a mid-tier Woodcutting and melee tool that requires 30 Attack to wield and 31 Woodcutting to use effectively. It is faster and more accurate at cutting trees than the mithril axe, making it a common upgrade for players training Woodcutting in the mid-level range. On the Grand Exchange it is a low-cost, high-volume item bought by new members moving up from mithril or steel axes. Because it can also be made with the Smithing skill, its price usually stays close to the cost of its materials and is a good indicator of low-tier skilling tool demand.
