About Onyx bolts
Onyx bolts are runite crossbow bolts tipped with onyx gems, a high-level Ranged ammunition. They have strong base stats and can be further enhanced by enchanting them into Onyx bolts (e), which have a chance to heal the player based on damage dealt. Because of their high cost and powerful effect, Onyx bolts are used mainly in end-game PvM, bossing, and high-level Slayer tasks where damage and survivability matter. Onyx bolts are the strongest gem-tipped runite bolts and are rarely used outside of high-level combat. Unenchanted Onyx bolts are still strong ammunition for high-level crossbows before enchanting. Players often enchant these bolts into Onyx bolts (e) for the Life Leech healing effect.
