Odium shard 2 is the second piece of the Odium ward and is dropped by the Crazy Archaeologist, a Wilderness boss who attacks with ranged and magic. Players who collect this shard are one step closer to creating the Odium ward, a highly valued magic off-hand shield. Because the Crazy Archaeologist resides in the Wilderness, obtaining the shard involves the constant risk of player killers, adding tension and value to the drop. The Crazy Archaeologist uses explosive books and ranged attacks, so players must bring food and armour when hunting this shard. The Crazy Archaeologist is one of three Wilderness demi-bosses that collectively provide the pieces for both Odium and Malediction wards.
