About Oathplate shards

Oathplate shards are members-only fragments worth 1,000 gp, a strange metal from a distant realm that has lost its original luster. They are dropped by Yama and used to forge oathplate armour. Five shards can be combined with crushed infernal shale at level 83 Smithing to make infernal nuggets, and 450 shards are needed alongside a large amount of shale to create the nine infernal plates required for one armour piece. Shards can also be reclaimed by breaking down oathplate gear at the Ancient Forge.
