The anti-dragon shield is a free-to-play shield that provides partial protection from dragonfire attacks. It is obtained early in the game and is a requirement for players who want to fight dragons without taking massive dragonfire damage. Because it is a key item for questing and dragon slaying, the anti-dragon shield is a common item in low-to-mid-level banks. Players pair it with an anti-fire potion for maximum protection when fighting chromatic and metal dragons. The anti-dragon shield is a must-have for low-level dragon fights and is often paired with an antifire potion for full dragonfire protection. It is one of the first shields players obtain for dragon slaying and is a staple of early PvM.
