An Oak stock is a piece of oak shaped into a crossbow stock, a low-to-mid-level Fletching item. It is combined with steel or higher metal limbs to create crossbows, which are powerful Ranged weapons. Players training Fletching often produce oak stocks alongside other crossbow components. Because crossbows require both a stock and limbs, the Oak stock is a fundamental material for players entering the crossbow crafting stage of Fletching. Oak stocks are the starting material for the first tier of member crossbows, bridging the gap between bows and crossbows in early Ranged. To finish a crossbow, a Fletching player combines an oak stock with metal limbs, then adds a crossbow string.
